Monique R. Siegel
Expert for applied ethics
Monique R. Siegel was born in Berlin. In 1962, she emigrated to the US where she obtained a B.A. (honors), an M.A. (magna cum laude) and a Ph.D. (with distinction) in Germanic Language and Literature at Columbia University and New York University. Since 1971, she has been living in Zurich. She holds dual citizenship US/CH.
In 1980, she founded her consulting business. and quickly established herself internationally as an unconventional consultant in the areas of female shift, leadership, and megatrends. She is the author of eleven books, a columnist and a regular contributor to the international media on gender, economic and cultural topics. She has dedicated the past few years to examining the intra-gender dynamics of women in the workplace and how to tap into the potential that lies in participation and alliances - a topic that spawned her latest book titled "That's it? How Women Miss their Opportunities". A popular speaker, she is a frequent guest on radio and television.
Since the start of her lectures on «Europe» in 2004, she has become an expert on the political, economic and gender history of Europe over a period of 2'500 years.In 2007, she finished her post-graduate studies at the University of Zurich with an M.A. in «Applied Ethics» which generated a multimedia lecture series on the subject of power and ethics.
